The Christian Science textbook...
The Christian Science textbook has been in my home as long as I can remember. While it was read by a member of my family and its teachings often were used in time of trouble, I did not study it wholeheartedly and apply the truth consistently until after I had grown to young womanhood.
As a small child I had always loved the Bible and learned about it from the numerous Sunday Schools and churches I attended. For this early religious education I am grateful. At various times I felt a desire to join a church, but my mother cautioned me to wait until I was sure of my choice.
