In the years that I have been interested in Christian Science I have witnessed many proofs of Truth's healing power. During my early study of its teachings I was engaged in the practice of dentistry, and having used drugs for so many years in the treatment of physical disorders, I was in a position to realize the great divergence between material and spiritual means of healing. The mental healings were so outside of and so opposed to the physical, and the results so much more effectual, with no periods of convalescence, that to one who had been schooled in material methods, as I had been, it was indeed a great revelation.

After gaining a slight under-standing of the teachings of Science, I remarked to one near me that Science and dentistry were opposite in their application and achievement, and therefore to be consistent I should eventually have to give up one or the other. I had seen the healing truth sufficiently clearly to feel that when the right time came I could leave the old for the new.

Meantime I found that Christian Science made me a better dentist. I was more compassionate and solicitous for the well-being of my patients, and I was able to work with less physical discomfort to them.
