Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.

Alvin, Texas (Society)
Christian Science Society, Alvin, held its church dedication services on Sunday, March 10, 1946, in the morning and afternoon.
Christian Science meetings were held in a private home in Alvin from 1940 until 1944. In the spring of 1944, the property on the corner of Cleveland and Hill Streets was purchased. A small temporary building was secured, moved onto the grounds, and remodeled.
In June, 1944, the first services were held at the new location, and in July of the same year the group was officially recognized as a Christian Science Society.
