The Childlike Thought

MARY BAKER THOMPSON

The childlike thought receives Christ best.
Unquestioning, unfettered, free,
In simple trust, in patient rest,
It doubts not, does not need to see
The future steps, the answer clear,
Nor pleads to know tomorrow's plan;
Rejoices in the good now here,
Reveals the peace of perfect man.
