Unfailing Supply
At this time, when a great part of the world seems to be faced with famine and want, it is not always easy to look beyond and above these tragic presentations of mortal thinking. Lest we allow ourselves to accept these false pictures, it is necessary that we spiritually fortify our consciousness. It is well to remember the immortal words of Jesus (John 6:35), "He that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." This, we know, was the Christ speaking, the true idea giving utterance to good, presenting the divine message from a loving heavenly Father to His children in language understandable to human consciousness.
Consistently to realize that man is already provided for by his heavenly Father and lives under His ever-operative divine government of good, is the task set before us. It is the daily duty of every Christian Scientist.
After Jesus had fed the multitude with the bread and fishes, many, not understanding the message contained in the miracle, followed him to Capernaum. Then it was that he made it plain to them that it was the truth he taught which would feed them: that it was the eternal, spiritual fact about God and man which sustains man.
