My Prayer
O Lord,
in all my ways may I behold
Your light and power, and see each day
Your qualities — so manifold.
A close communion, Lord, I pray
Ever to hold with You. And here
May I find freedom, joy, and peace
That know no weakness, doubt, or fear.
But from all bondage bring release.
And may I then in unselfed love impart
A radiancy so clear
That some discouraged, lonely heart
May feel Your presence here.
