About fifteen years ago my concept of Christian Science was completely reversed overnight as a result of an instantaneous healing of a member of my family. I became an earnest student at once, and in a short time became a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church.

I had been employed in the wholesale drug business for a number of years, but hoped, after becoming a student of Christian Science, to be able to leave this type of employment. As time went on, however, my work and responsibility, together with the material compensation, increased. Though I began to feel the mental strain, it became more and more difficult to break away.

I finally appealed to a Christian Science practitioner for help. Many references from the bible and from Mrs. Eddy's writings were given me, which I studied. I then saw clearly what steps to take. In three or four days I wrote my letter of resignation, to take effect three months later.
