I am grateful for Christian Science...

I am grateful for Christian Science and for the help Science practitioners have given us. Through their aid more harmony has been manifested in our home, and we have gained a better understanding of what it means to watch and pray. I love the commandment Christ Jesus gave us (Matt. 19:19), "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."

My family had the privilege of attending the Christian Science Sunday School, and I am grateful for the spiritual understanding they gained there. I am grateful, too, for the peace that came to me through the understanding that wherever man is, there is God, Life, Truth, and Love, when a loved one enlisted in the armed forces. Christian Science helped this loved one to come through fiery trials unharmed.

I am grateful for the many physical healings that my family has had, and I should like to tell of one of them, which occurred over three years ago. One of my sons was washing windows for me while he was alone in the house. The rope broke and he fell from the second floor. A passer-by took him into the house and two neighbors came over to help. The boy declared he was all right and asked them to leave him alone. Thinking he was delirious, they tried to call a doctor. Several physicians were called but could not be reached, so word was left to come as soon as possible.
