Christian Science means more to...
Christian Science means more to me each day, and because of my gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for this wonderful truth, I give this testimony.
Among the many healings which I have experienced are those of ptomaine poisoning, measles, influenza, whooping cough, periodic pains, scalds, burns, crooked teeth, stiff toe, bone felon, severe headaches, unsightly blemishes, a growth in the mouth, and the biting of my finger nails. Some of these healings were accomplished through my close study of Mrs. Eddy's writings, and others as a result of the work of practitioners.
I should like to mention the healing of an impacted wisdom tooth. My right jaw had pained me very much, and an X ray showed that a wisdom tooth was trying to push its way up through two other teeth. The doctor advised us that the two teeth would have to be extracted, so that the wisdom tooth could come through; then it would have to be extracted. I thanked him, and as we started out of his office he said that if this was not done the consequences would be serious. After we had left his office, I told my mother that the Bible says that God makes crooked things straight, and that we had seen so many beautiful demonstrations of the power of God through the application of the truths taught in Christian Science, that my difficulty seemed a minor problem. The truth was applied and fear cast out. During the following year, not only that wisdom tooth, but two others came through in their right places. I can truthfully say they have never bothered me at any time. That was about thirteen years ago, and I still have all my teeth. I feel happier and healthier than ever before.
