Christian Science was presented to me at a time when it seemed useless to pray for recovery from illness. It appeared to me then, as it did to many others, that it was God's will that I should be as I was; therefore my prayer was confined to one of petition for patience and light. This earnest prayer, and my desire to be able to care for the home and children, I now see, brought the light of Truth.

I was suffering from internal difficulties in which three organs were concerned, combined with general debility, from which doctors, who could only suggest two major operations, had failed to relieve me. I am very grateful to say that through the help of a Christian Science practitioner I was completely healed.

I also asked for treatment for one of my children for the aftereffects of infantile paralysis. Within six months she was able to cease wearing surgical appliances, and learned dancing and swimming, all this being contrary to the verdict of one of the best orthopedic surgeons in this country, who had said she would never be able to walk without surgical support.
