Dedham Transcript
Dedham, Massachusetts (First Church).
On Sunday, January 14, 1945, just a little more than twenty-four years after their first service was held in Odd Fellows Hall, the members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Dedham, met at their regular Communion service to dedicate their new church.
Local Christian Scientists organized in 1920 as a Christian Science Society, and their first service was held in Odd Fellows Hall on Sunday morning, December 5, of that year. Sunday school was held at the same hour in the adjoining hall.
