Letters to the Press from Christian Science Committees on Publication

Chronicle

Sidney F. Rallings, Committee on Publication for Queensland, Australia
Chronicle, Maryborough

One of your correspondents, writing under the heading, "Mind and Matter," is evidently confusing the teachings of Christian Science with some form of human philosophy.

Christian Science, as its name implies, is Christian; a true knowledge of its teachings enables the individual to demonstrate the omnipotence and omnipresence of the divine Mind over all the claims of matter or the material senses, whether these senses suggest pain or pleasure. It is scientific; a knowledge of its divine Principle enables the student to solve problems with the same scientific certainty as a mathematician works out a problem in mathematics. The secret of the student's success, as in all things scientific, lies in strict adherence to the basic rules involved.
