Man's Invincible Equipment

The development of differing types of equipment has for many centuries engaged the attention of mankind. In fact, it may be claimed that the human race owes its survival, certainly its ability to progress and to produce, to weapons and tools. More important than these, however, is mental preparedness, if we would successfully cope with changing conditions.

During these troublous times, when referring in some cases to the inadequacy of military forces, we have often heard the expression, "Too little and too late." There are many who, though they have had to face failure and frustration in their human experience, have been able to prove that "man's extremity is God's opportunity."

Unreliable sense testimony would argue that man's salvation and security are solely dependent upon some form of matter which, for the moment, may be just out of his reach. However, all through the Bible we read of victories won over every known problem and situation by those equipped with the understanding of God. The belief that matter is substance, and that man is dependent upon it for his well-being, leads to the incorrect conclusion that man is vulnerable.
