Divine Science
Forgotten
now the former creeds and codes,
The earthly reckonings, the fears they bring.
The days when stubbornly we trod the roads
Which others followed, sorrowing.
For through the mists which hid the path from view
A light is seen, unquenchable and clear,
Dispelling clouds, bestowing hope anew,
Dissolving all our earthborn pain and fear.
Christ walks with us; he comes to bless and heal,
He brings the light which chases care away.
Beloved Son of God, your joy we feel
As understanding turns our night to day.
Man is revealed as shades of darkness lift:
Thanks be to God for His most precious gift.
