Christian Science Committee on Publication for Georgia Reports

We are happy to record that another year has passed wherein no attacks on Christian Science have been reported through the public press. A syndicated column contained a reference to Christian Science which, though not unkindly intentioned, might have given a wrong impression of our religion to the reader. This article appeared in four newspapers of our state, and the corrective reply prepared by your Committee was published in three of these papers.

In spite of the limitations and restrictions on newspapers, the press of Georgia has been quite generous to us this year. About twenty newspapers continue to publish our weekly Lesson-Sermon excerpts. Our Gems of Thought, each weekly release containing a quotation from our Leader's writings are mailed to fifty-seven newspapers. A monthly reprint of a religious article taken from The Home Forum page of The Christian Science Monitor is carried by seven papers.

The Monitor continues to be held in high esteem by Georgia newspaper editors, and is quite extensively quoted by many in their columns. Subscriptions to the Monitor on our exchange-for-advertising basis are going to about seventy Georgia editors, and from them this office is continually receiving expressions of high regard for our international daily newspaper.
