"Put on thy beautiful garments"
[Of Special Interest to Little Children]
Eddie was a little boy seven years old. He was in the second grade in school. He was learning to read, and he could spell a little too.
Every morning his mother found him wondering what to wear to school. If she said to wear his blue overalls and his yellow and blue striped shirt, Eddie would want to wear his brown and tan shirt with his brown overalls. This fussing over what he should wear went on for several days and Eddie and his mother were not so happy as they should have been when he went off to school in the big yellow school bus.
One day this thought came to Eddie's mother from Isaiah (52:1): "Awake, awake; ... put on thy beautiful garments." She thought about those words all during schooltime.
