While reading the two inspiring...
While reading the two inspiring articles printed in The Christian Science Monitor dated January 6, 1945, calling attention to the fiftieth anniversary of the dedication of the original edifice of The Mother Church, I recalled many happy experiences, some of which I should like to share with those who may be interested.
In February, 1894, I was healed, in three days, of hereditary disease, while reading the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. The healing was so wonderful to me that it led me to love and understand my Bible as never before, and changed my whole career. Instead of following up the study of medicine, I was impelled to take up the study of Christian Science and learn how to practice it and help others. Children's diseases, ivy poisoning, grippe, rheumatism, appendicitis, infantile paralysis, and insanity yielded quickly to my application of this wonderful Science.
When my own understanding of the truth did not appear equal to overcome for myself the so-called material laws relating to pneumonia, nervous breakdown, and intestinal influenza, a practitioner was called, and the diseases vanished into nothingness, through the help which was so lovingly rendered.
