Peace

MAE TUCKER

Earth's tumult and its storms recede,
And in their place are heard
The accents of the "still small voice"—
The omnipresent Word.

It reaches over land and sea
To challenge fear and stress;
And as our troubled thought responds,
Peace enters consciousness.
