It is with deep gratitude for what Christian Science has done for my family and me that I submit this testimony. The first healing took place about twenty-one years ago when my youngest son was just a baby. As I was nursing him one day, he suddenly turned very pale and lay motionless on my knee. He seemed to have passed on. I wrapped him in a shawl and ran to a practitioner who lived only a few doors from me. Seeing my distress, she took the baby and handed me the Bible, asking me to read the ninety-first Psalm. I did this while she sang "O gentle presence" (Poems by Mrs. Eddy, pp. 4, 5). Within a few minutes a most wonderful sense of calm filled my consciousness, and looking up from the Bible I saw the practitioner smile. "Your baby is all right," she said.

This healing made me so grateful to God that I started to study the Bible and the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, in earnest, and am pleased to say I have gained some understanding of their contents.

A few years later the same boy had an instantaneous healing of a broken nose. Both he and his brother have been pupils in the Christian Science Sunday School for over thirteen years.
