The One Creator

Christian Science reveals the scientific knowledge of life as Christ Jesus taught it. One of the Master's statements, "Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures," indicates, by implication, the importance he placed on being familiar with the Scriptures before one can use and prove them.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, has given the world the "key" to the Scriptures in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Sincere and earnest students of Christian Science will perceive, before they have gone very far in their search for the right way of life, that to start from anything less than the basic truths given in the Bible will delay and even defeat their own high purpose.

The very first words in Genesis are, "In the beginning God created." This, then, is the starting point for all our deductions, our basis of operation, so to speak. The omnipotence, omniscience, and omnipresence of the one creative Mind, God, must be acknowledged and understood before freedom from fear, lack, or ignorance can be realized. When this important step is taken, and thought is lifted from a material to a spiritual basis, progress in the truth is certain, and in most instances rapid.
