The Psalmist knew the one secret of security. Only faith can keep fear at bay and prevent it from invading the inward sanctuary where true peace has its dwelling. Speaking of the man of faith he says, "He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the Lord."

When our hearts are set on God and on His purpose we discover the real treasures of life and we know that these cannot be touched by its changes and chances.
