Divine Consciousness

MARY WILLIS SHELBURNE

Eternally in Him we live and move,
Never an instant parted from His love.
This sweet communion is the real, the true
Status of God and man, and this clear view,
Nurtured in consciousness, cherished in thought,
Reveals the gracious work that God has wrought.

God the creator, Father-Mother, Mind;
Man in His image, perfectly defined—
This pure relationship is ours to know,
And realizing this, we gladly grow
Out of the mortal to immortality;
This is the fruit born of the living tree.

Hold every moment of enlightenment,
Retain the inspiration He has sent;
These are the beacons guiding through the night
That lead us into harmony and light.
Life, spiritually discerned, reveals the way
Out of dark dreams of death to God's true day.
