Our Brother
As
we take our daily steps through sunlit paths
Or shadowed ways, intent upon our goal, perchance
Unheeding, thinking only of the tasks
Which seem to crowd upon our days,
And planning, weighing all the things
Which still somehow must needs be done,
Oh, may we learn to pause and lift
Our thought above all selfish care,
Lest in our haste we might pass by
Our brother, standing there!
