Christian Science has indeed...
Christian Science has indeed been a wonderful revelation to me. About three years ago I was in the depths of despair, confused and bewildered about everything, and at a loss to know where to turn for help. I had been active in an orthodox church since a small child, but in my darkness I found no light in it for me, and in my groping I reached out for Christian Science. However, as I was experiencing a nervous breakdown or mental depression, brought on, according to medical doctors, from many causes, medication was thought to be the only remedy. I am so grateful that after all material remedies had been exhausted I was led to try Christian Science, for I now realize that my experience was only a conflict between the spiritual and the material. That is the reason I say Christian Science has been a great revelation to me, for my life has taken on such a beautiful meaning through a more comprehensive understanding of God and the teachings of Christ Jesus, which has come to me through the wonderful interpretation of the Scriptures by Mrs. Eddy, and the truth regarding man's oneness with God that she has revealed to us.
I am grateful for the practitioners, who are truly messengers of God, for their patient leading of mankind from the material to the spiritual, and for the unfoldment of God and His kingdom to us. I am grateful also for the Sunday morning and the Wednesday evening services, for they mean much to me.
I know that God's peace, health, and harmony are my divine inheritance as a spiritual idea, and the heritage of all mankind. My prayer is that I may understand the truth better each day, and really know that "in him we live, and move, and have our being," and that I may help others find the way, that they, too, may know the immutable truth in Mrs. Eddy's beautiful and encouraging statement in Science and Health (p. 494), "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need."
