Church Dedications
Note: Christian Science churches are dedicated only when free from debt.
Tampa, Florida (First Church).
Members of First Church of Christ, Scientist, dedicated their debt-free church building at services held in the morning and evening on Sunday, March 5, 1944.
The building, located at Grand Central and Cedar Avenues, was completed in January, 1926, at an approximate cost of one hundred and twenty-six thousand dollars, and the greater part of the cost of building was raised during the construction period. The remaining thirty-five thousand dollars has been raised since that time, with the help of the Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy.
