"Where Thine own children are"

As a baby was brought outdoors in her carriage, a little neighbor of four years said excitedly to his mother: "There's Sharon! She's my friend!"

Since Sharon could not yet crawl or talk, everyone laughed good-naturedly. But the boy was right. Even in her limited way, the baby showed that she wanted to be his friend. And the little fellow was according her full reciprocity.

In our relationships with adults, we find that the recognition of every individual as an idea of God blesses all concerned. And when another ignores some supposed age barrier, how pleased we are! Yet, do we acknowledge that we are not separated from children by age? In the family relationship, an effort to do this is particularly important, for it breaks down the belief of separation between generations. God knows no human child, parent, grandparent, or great-grandparent, for all are Love's blessed and beautiful children, with the one glorious ancestry of an ageless Father-Mother God. In divine Mind there are no "old ideas" or "undeveloped ideas." Each expression of perfect Mind is full, glorious, and eternal.
