Genuine Man

Man's identity rests upon the oneness and allness of God, eternal Mind. This one and only Mind is self-existent, constituting infinitude, all-inclusive being. God ceaselessly reveals Himself in divine ideas, always harmonious and perfect, ever unfolding, and His highest idea is man. In this spiritual, individual allness we see God and man as Father and son, one and inseparable. Man is God's expression, the complete representation of eternal Mind.

Through the discovery of Christian Science by our loved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the truth of the perfection of God and of His idea, man, has been revealed. The possibilities involved in the demonstration of this divine Science are infinite in scope and immeasurable in degree, since this Science emanates from omniscient Mind and is concurrent with God's mighty revelation of Himself to Moses as "I AM." Because of this revelation, we discover that man functions under divine direction, and is dependent upon God for intelligence, happiness and life. We are beginning to understand that the genuine man is under the control of divine Mind. On page 319 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." Mrs. Eddy says. "Mystery, miracle, sin, and death will disappear when it becomes fairly understood that the divine Mind controls man and man has no Mind but God."

When an individual strives to reject material falsities and to learn more of that which is real and true, right there Christian Science instructs and informs him, and man created in God's own image and likeness comes definitely into view, complete and perfect as the Mind which he expresses. The true nature of man thus comes to light as the idea of infinite Principle, revealing what is perhaps the most enlightening of all spiritual facts, the uninvaded unity of God and man. When we affirm this inseparable relationship, even though it may appear utterly contrary to material sense testimony, we bring into our experience, in some degree, that which is wholly desirable, and which evidences the spiritual fact. The writer recalls an occasion when in a flash of spiritual vision, a vivid and direct apprehension of that which divinely is, she received instantaneous healing of a discordant condition. In other words, she clearly glimpsed the fact that man is ever the perfect expression of God.
