For many years I have been a student of Christian Science, and I have long felt a desire to express my gratitude to God for its teachings through the periodicals.

I did not take up the study of Christian Science for physical healing, although I was sadly in need of it. All my life I had been seeking a religion that would satisfy my longing to understand more of God and man's relationship to Him. I had always read the Bible and loved it, but, except for the simpler stories and parables, most of it seemed obscure and unexplainable.

I was experiencing difficulty with a business associate and was at the point of resigning my position, when one day I poured out my troubles to a friend, hoping for sympathy. She listened very patiently until I had finished, then surprised me by saving. "Have you heard anything about Christian Science?" Wondering what it had to do with the situation, I replied that I had not. She then said, "I have been studying it for only a short time, but it has helped me with so many problems, both mental and physical, that I feel sure it would help you to solve your problem by showing you man's relationship to God and his brother man."
