During the thirty odd years we have been students of Christian Science our family has received blessings which cannot be counted. Through the application of this Science we have received physical healings, our needs have been fully met, and happiness has been ours without measure. For these, and for the priceless privilege of class instruction, I am most grateful to our heavenly Father.

I wish at this time to tell of a remarkable physical healing which I experienced within the past year. While working at a local manufacturing plant on New Year's Day, I was poisoned by carbon monoxide gas escaping from a defective Diesel engine which was operating on the floor under me. I tried to get downstairs to the fresh air, but when I reached the bottom of the stairs I was so overcome I went up again. One of the workmen, noticing my condition and sensing what had occurred, caught me just as I fell unconscious. I was carried to an open window and held there until I recovered consciousness, and as soon as I could sit up I asked to be taken home. I was suffering extreme pain, and the one driving me home tried to induce me to go to a hospital, but I refused.

When I reached home help was immediately asked of a Christian Science practitioner. The incident had occurred shortly before noon, and it was several hours after I was put to bed before I could tell details of what had taken place, other than that it was carbon monoxide poisoning. Although such occurrences are considered extremely dangerous according to medical belief, by the next morning I had begun to improve and five days later I was back at work. I had had nothing whatever but Chiristian Science treatment.
