Divine Wisdom
[Of Special Interest to Children]
Looking out of the train window, little Milly thought the rain looked like big teardrops. They reminded her of the tears she had been shedding. Today she was trying very hard to express love and cheerfulness. She had promised Daddy she would.
Milly and her mother were on their way to live on the farm with Grandma and Grandpa. Daddy was on a big boat on his way across the sea. Mother was to be the new schoolteacher in the small white schoolhouse near Grandpa's farm while Daddy was away.
Milly did not want to leave home. She loved her playmates, her schoolteachers, her Sunday school teacher; but, most of all, she did not want Daddy to go across the sea. Mother tried to comfort Milly by reminding her that since our loving Father-Mother God, is everywhere present, they would all be surrounded with love in their new places just as they had been at home.
