Rise and Pray

Sleep not for sorrow—
Mesmeric grief;
Sink not in human
Sentient belief;
Shake off inaction
Without delay;
Help in the battle—
Rise now and pray.

Peace is in making,
Victory near
Only if mortals
Cast away fear,
And without ceasing
Put self away.
Sleep not for sorrow;
Rise now and pray.
