Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Cuba

Our relations with the press have been most cordial during the past year. No unfriendly references to Christian Science or to Mary Baker Eddy have appeared in the newspapers to our knowledge. The only English-language newspaper in Havana has been very friendly. It published many editorials from The Christian Science Monitor, giving full credit to the Monitor, until its editorial page was discontinued owing to the shortage of paper. The excerpt from the Lesson-Sermon appears weekly in this paper. Its editor expressed his appreciation of the Monitor, which he is always pleased to receive.

A short sketch of Mrs. Eddy's life and work was published in Prensa Libre, a Spanish-language newspaper. A cartoon from the Monitor appeared in the Spanish-language newspaper Información.
