With gratitude and love for all the health, peace, and joy that the study of Christian Science has given me for over thirty years, I am giving this testimony in the hope that it may be of help to others.

When I first heard of Christian Science, I was merely curious to know what its teachings were, and so attended a lecture and a church service. I became convinced that I wanted it for a religion, even though my family and friends objected.

I had never been a strong child, and although I had had practically every form of medical treatment, including change of climate and an operation, I still suffered from an organic disorder, and spent many days in bed. I did not believe that Christian Science could heal me, but I did love and want to live its truths. In the first year I read all Mrs. Eddy's writings, also the Bible, and discovered that, without realizing when this took place, I had been completely healed of the organic disorder, extreme fatigue, insomnia, sensitiveness, and a tendency toward frequent colds. These had just vanished, for, as Mrs. Eddy tells us on page 260 of Science and Health, "The conceptions of mortal, erring thought must give way to the ideal of all that is perfect and eternal."
