Though I had known of Christian Science...

Though I had known of Christian Science for many years, the time came for me to choose the way I should go. How grateful I am that I chose the road of Christian Science! This road seems steep and rough at times; at other times it is flower-strewn; but it is a good road and one knows it is the right way, the way our Master trod.

The life of our loved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, becomes an ever-increasing revelation. Mrs. Eddy's writings, her all-seeing wisdom in giving us our church organization and periodicals, including our daily newspaper, The Christian Science Monitor, make her students realize that no mere human intelligence could have produced all this. It is rather the outward manifestation of her joyful and humble desire to follow Christ. As she has written in her Message to The Mother Church for 1902 (p. 4), "I again repeat, Follow your Leader, only so far as she follows Christ."

As I have traveled the way of Christian Science I have seen disease and discord of almost every name and nature disappear. Our young folks have come through childhood and adolescence unharmed by physical difficulties. Many erroneous conditions have been completely dispelled in my own experience. A most annoying skin eruption, caused by a nervous disorder, was healed during the time I served as Reader in our branch church. Once more the truth that God's child is perfect was proved.
