Introductions to Lectures

Lecturer: Peter B. Biggins; introduced by Miss Janet Budd, who said:—

The Master said, "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free." These words were spoken to me by a Christian Scientist during the last war, and I was healed of influenza. While I was reading the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for the first time, I was healed of hay fever and headaches.

Since that time there have been many healings. One, which was instantaneous, was the healing of burns; another was of an overwhelming sense of grief; on another occasion a surgical operation was prevented; and protection from danger has been experienced.

On page 494 of this book Mrs. Eddy writes, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need." I have proved the truth of these words, also that God is "a very present help in trouble."

All who study the textbook with the Bible will gain a better understanding of God and His relationship to His spiritual creation.
