In presenting a protest against a number of isms, the students of Emmanuel College completely misrepresent Christian Science. There is absolutely no similarity between its teachings and those of "British Israelism, Prophecy Prediction, and Spiritualism."
The Christian Science church, as with all Christian churches, has its foundation in the Bible. Its standards are the words and works of Christ Jesus. The commands and life of the Master indicate that Christianity can be demonstrated, not as a mere profession of faith, but as a practical, provable religious faith, based on the understanding of its divine Principle, God. To preach the gospel, to heal the sinner and the sick, is surely the Christian mission. This we find to be repeatedly commanded in the New Testament. (See Mark 16:15–18.) Mankind is demanding today that we Christians prove ourselves the true followers of Christ Jesus in our daily lives and experiences.
