The words "print" and "publish" have different meanings. This fact unfolded to a student of Christian Science while pondering the published writings of Mary Baker Eddy, and other authorized Christian Science literature. While a book might be printed, it does not necessarily follow that it would be published. The word "publish" is defined, in part, as "to make public announcement of;" also, "put into circulation."

The Christian Science periodicals are printed and published by The Christian Science Publishing Society. The words from the sixty-eighth Psalm are beautifully inscribed on the outside of the Christian Science Publishing House: "The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it." God gave the Word, the revelation of Truth, in this age, to Mrs. Eddy, who, through her wisdom, organized the movement that is spreading God's message throughout the world. The "little leaven" is spreading throughout all the earth, leavening the whole lump of human thought.
