Many times I have desired to express my gratitude for the blessings received through the study of Christian Science, which brought me out of a state of "self" that I now see was very unlovely. I am most grateful for the efficacy of Christian Science as a preventive.

Christian Science has been a great blessing in the rearing of our daughter. Although she had many of the so-called children's diseases, she went from kindergarten to high school graduation with less than thirty days' absence because of illness. Our Leader's hymns were a great help through those years. Now she is a member of The Mother Church and also an active worker in a branch church.

During the many years I have been studying, there have been physical healings, including a very quick one of a serious and painful attack of influenza with complications. This healing was accomplished in four days with the help of a practitioner. At one time a small growth appeared on the inside of one eyelid. This disappeared after I clearly realized the meaning of the Apostle Paul's statement. "The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints."
