I wish to express my deep and sincere gratitude for Christian Science and for the many blessings the protection and help, it has unfolded to me and mine for many years. I first heard of Christian Science about thirty-five years ago, and had the opportunity of witnessing a healing which at that time seemed miraculous to me. I purchased "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, but could not seem to understand what I read, so laid the book away.

Through the years that followed I thought of what I had heard of Christian Science as something very beautiful, for the seed of Truth had been planted. During this time I was searching for a God who was not so far away as I had been brought up to believe. I attended many different churches and then attended one orthodox Sunday school regularly for one year, trying to understand the Bible and learn more about God, but received no enlightenment.

The answer to my search came one Sunday as though spoken audibly. Turn to Christian Science and you will find your God. I did turn to Christian Science wholeheartedly, and started reading the treasure, Science and Health, which I had laid away for twelve years. I read joyously and expectantly every spare moment for about two weeks, and did find God an ever-present help and guide. I then experienced an instantaneous healing of a complication of ailments from which I had suffered for many years: severe stomach trouble, constipation, constant severe headaches, and astigmatism of the eyes for which I had worn glasses for fourteen years. All this came about through reading our textbook, and there has never been a return of any of these ailments.
