I have every reason to be grateful...
I have every reason to be grateful to God and to Mary Baker Eddy for the numerous healings that I have both experienced and witnessed through the ministrations of Christian Science. My attention was first called to this Science in the year 1921. My physical condition had been called hopeless by several physicians, and friends told me of the wonderful healings accomplished by Christian Science. I had always been a student of the Bible, and my desire to learn more of the verities of God encouraged me to place myself in the arms of divine Love without fear, hesitation, or pride. During this period I received a complete healing of a nervous disorder, which had prevented me from securing permanent employment. Several weeks after receiving Christian Science treatments, I was engaged in a permanent position, and although changes have since been made, all of them have been progressive.
I have had during successive years many other healings. Since my wife also is interested in Christian Science, our household has been a harmonious one. Our three daughters, all in their teens, have known no other religion nor physician than Christian Science, which has provided them, during their development, with ample protection and guidance—spiritually, mentally, and physically.
More recently I experienced a complete healing of lobar pneumonia. My employers became very much concerned over my condition, and, knowing that I was having Christian Science treatment, requested that I be examined by a lung specialist. On April 6, 1942, I submitted to a physical examination. X rays were taken which showed the infected area. On May 13, I was again examined, and the X rays which were taken at this date showed a clear picture of absolute healing. Two days later I resumed my occupation, and since that time I have become stronger, and more alert to God's spiritual creation.
