It would be impossible to tell...
It would be impossible to tell of all the blessings that have come to me through Christian Science. In 1899 I had the pleasure of meeting a Christian Science practitioner, who treated my son for a condition for which the physicians could do nothing. In five Christian Science treatments he was completely healed.
My mother was also healed of nervous sick headache, with which she had been bothered all her life. I purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I never enjoyed anything so much as I did this beautiful teaching. It brought into my life something for which I can never be thankful enough. It was a number of years, however, before I reached the point of relying on Christian Science for healing. In 1914, I became very ill. A physician was called and diagnosed my case as inflammation of the heart, with a serious heart leakage. There was nothing medicine could do to help me. I asked for my Science and Health and began to read it. In just one hour, my temperature had dropped from one hundred and two degrees to only one degree above normal. I continued to read the textbook, and a few days later I got out of the bed to which I had been confined for eight weeks. I dressed and walked downstairs. I have never since been troubled with the ailment.
Very soon after my healing, my son became ill with inflammatory rheumatism. He asked for help in Christian Science. I called a practitioner, and in three treatments my son was healed and able to resume his school duties.
