From the Committee on Publication for Indiana

The attitude of publishers generally continues to grow more friendly and the balance is swinging to the side where we are finding more favorable than unfavorable comments published in all publications of any repute.

Magazines of some intolerant religious groups still misrepresent Christian Science and are unfriendly to correction. A few misrepresentations were made from pulpits by traveling ministers; some by teachers and professors in their classes; and one by a representative of a better business bureau. A friendly visit was made to each speaker. He was verbally corrected and presented with a biography of Mrs. Eddy by the Rev. Lyman P. Powell. Usually the biography was graciously accepted, and the visit resulted in a friendlier and better understanding of Christian Science.

The Christian Science Monitor is a splendid support to any committee on Publication. Each year it continues to win wider acceptance, breaking down prejudice and gaining respect for our religion and its followers. This makes it easier for the office to make contacts with public officials and adjust efforts to restrict the rights of Christian Scientists.
