When I was seven years of age,...
When I was seven years of age, after the passing on of my mother, my paternal grandmother, a Christian Scientist and a class-taught student, came to live with me and to rear me as her own. Although not a Christian Scientist, my father gave his consent that I should go to Sunday school at the branch church where my grandmother was a member. Thus I began to learn the truth about God and man as taught in Christian Science. For this privilege I am grateful beyond power of expression.
It was my privilege to attend this Sunday school until the age of twenty. Three years later the demonstration of class instruction was made very beautifully; all obstacles disappearing as I continued to stand resolutely for that which I knew the Father had for me.
My class instruction remains with me like a deep well of clear, cool water from which I may draw and slake my thirst at any time.
