Sunday School Notes and Comments

Our purpose in teaching in the Christian Science Sunday School is to be of true service. Should we then outline where we would serve or where we would prefer not to serve? We are enrolled to make ourselves useful where servants of God are needed, and we are empowered through sincere prayer to respond willingly to every legitimate demand.

Should we not, if we ourselves had very young children, be grateful to a Sunday school teacher who helped them to overcome childish temptations? This work can bring out much good, not only for the children but for their homes. It often offers an opportunity for co-operation with the parents, thus helping them as well as the juvenile members.

The work of liberating thought from tendencies of so-called human nature is much needed at all stages. It is a joyous privilege to assist in this work in the Christian Science Sunday School, no matter at what age or stage the pupil may be.
