Christian Science has for many years showered numberless blessings on me for which I am very grateful, and I should like to add testimony to the many appearing in the periodicals.

Our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, has said some wonderful things about home and family, and students of Christian Science have a very real appreciation of both. I myself loved my home and family dearly, and it was not easy in 1939 to overcome a sense of separation from my family by evacuation; but this trial was met by the realization of Love's ever-presence.

Imagine my horror and dismay when a thousand-pound bomb made my house uninhabitable! It had to be razed to the ground, and for three days I could not seem to rise above this experience, nor could I speak of it without emotion. I kept asking myself, Why? Why? Why? I had always been grateful for my home and genuinely appreciated it. Why should it be taken from me?
