Love
Love
transcends all human values;
Only He who gave us love
Knows the height and depth and riches
Of this gift from heaven above.
We accept with adoration,
Lifting up our hearts in praise,
Pleading for a fuller measure
To endow our earthly ways.
Should we not search well the secret
Deep recesses of the heart,
Casting out each mortal treasure,
Knowing God hath done His part?
He has given us His bounty
Far beyond all human worth.
Love will help us to receive it,
Purified from dross of earth.
