For all the blessings that have come into my life through Christian Science I shall be forever grateful.

Four years ago I went into the office of a Christian Science practitioner in search of health. Since an early age I had been held in bondage to what mortal mind calls heart disease. I had tried many doctors and so-called cures, but they had all failed me. When I visited a Christian Science practitioner, I asked him if he could heal heart disease. His answer was that he could not, but God could. This gave me hope.

Then followed a period of Christian Science treatments. Slowly and surely I gained strength and courage. The practitioner told me that I was, in reality, spiritual and therefore exempt from ill-health. Many times error would get me down, but the practitioner would visit me, and after every visit I felt better. His loving-kindness will always stay with me. Then one day to all appearances I had a relapse. I cried out for help. I could not get out of bed, so another member of my family tried to get the practitioner, but was unable to do so. Then another practitioner, who had never seen me, was asked for help, and gave me an absent treatment. I arose from my bed and read the Lesson-Sermon in the Christian Science Quarterly. As I was studying the Lesson the words of Jesus came to me, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." At that moment I was freed by the Christ, Truth, and knew I had been healed. I shouted with joy to the members of my family.
