It is my most sincere desire to express my gratitude to God for Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, whose teachings have helped me greatly on my way from sense to Soul.

Nineteen years ago I was a faithful attendant at a Baptist church, and had good friends there. At that time I suffered greatly from internal difficulties, which seemed incurable. Seeing me in that state, friends recommended that I visit the Christian Science church. They told me that Christian Science healed the sick.

The following Sunday I went to the church they had recommended, but soon discovered that only English was spoken there, and since I did not know a single word of that language I became very sad. On leaving, however, I met a person who noticed that I was perturbed and, comprehending what had happened, she spoke to me in Spanish. When she saw that I was seeking the truth, she explained a few things to me. I asked her to help me, which she very lovingly did, giving me Christian Science treatment for several days. I continued attending the church every Sunday, and in a very short time I was completely healed. Since then, Christian Science has been my only physician, my only medicine, my comfort and guide in all my problems.
