Words can never express my...
Words can never express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I had been under the care of the medical profession for over eighteen years, and you can imagine my joy when, through the conscientious study of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was completely healed of tuberculosis. I never called on a practitioner, but studied every available moment of the day and sometimes far into the night. I had been given from three to six months to live, and a major operation was to be performed. I never had the operation, and today I am a normal, healthy woman. Many forms of treatment had been given, but always the same answer came: "We can relieve, but cannot cure you." Colds, constipation of twenty years' standing, a serious bladder condition, and many other human ills have also been overcome through my change in thinking. Through the realization that all is Life and there is no death or seperation in Mind, I was comforted beyond all expectations when my mother and my husband passed on.
I am grateful that God is, grateful for Christ Jesus, the Wayshower, and for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. Her discovery of the healing Principle which Jesus demonstrated has been a blessing to all mankind. Christian Science is a practical religion, which can be used in every form of life; it heals every kind of discord, and gives all power and praise to God.
It is seventeen years since I joined a Christian Science Society. I have been active in Sunday school work, and am grateful for this wonderful privilege. I am indeed grateful for all the periodicals, lectures, and other activities of the Christian Science movement. For membership in The Mother Church and the great blessing of class instruction under a consecrated teacher I am most truly grateful.—(Mrs.) Ruth Burrows Grant, Bristol, Connecticut.
