Sunday School Notes and Comments

Sometimes the Sunday school pupil who seems to be of a retiring nature and not to be learning very much is really assimilating and retaining a great deal of the truth being taught him.

Whenever a new class has been assigned to me, I feel that the first duty I owe to our heavenly Father is to love, as Jesus bade us love, regardless of the background of the members of the class. If we are truly listening, the living Love that is God always gives us the angels to meet the immediate need of each one. Jesus taught by parables. Most children like parables, because, as one little girl put it, "Parables make the teaching sparkle."

Brief accounts of incidents in the lives of Moses and Christ Jesus are easily found in the Bible. It is helpful to use the experiences of these great character to illustrate the Ten Commandments and Beatitudes, which they gave to men.
